Welcome to CherchianCort.com! We’re Arpie and David, a wife-and-husband writing team based in the Seattle area, passionate about telling Armenian stories for children.

Arpie’s family fled Aintab during the time of the Armenian Genocide, and later Aleppo, before eventually settling in Los Angeles. Growing up, she rarely saw stories that reflected her heritage—and together, we’re working to change that.

With more than 60 years of combined teaching experience, we’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is for children to see themselves in the pages of a book. Our stories honor Armenian heritage while exploring universal themes of resilience, courage, and hope.
